Some quick tips to get you started: 1. Avoid washing your vehicle for 7 days after installation 2. Hand wash using a pH-neutral soap and soft microfiber towels 3. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes
Yes, all our PPF installs come with a warranty through the manufacturer against yellowing, delamination, blistering and other defects with the film itself. For more information about warranty, visit our warranty page or via XPEL.
It depends on which PPF package and other add-on services such as ceramic coating, paint correction, window tint, etc. we are performing on your vehicle. Timeline typically takes about 5-14 business days from start to finish for PPF installation. The reason you might see other shops offer quicker times is from cutting corners. We take pride in the protection we offer to ensure a quality finish, free from blemishes, contamination under the film, and wrapping edges for a seamless result is why our perfection requires the time it needs.
Yes, paint protection film can be removed if the film sacrificed itself to save the paint or no longer want the PPF on your vehicle. We utilize steam, heat, and specialized tools to safely and cleanly remove. We do not recommend doing this yourself as improper removal techniques can pull off clear coat and paint leading to an expensive repair.
Everywhere. On a serious note, it depends on how you intend to use your vehicle. Our most popular package options are our Cruiser and Track Packages, protecting the highest impact areas of your vehicle. These two options are perfect for anyone looking to maintain the appearance of a chip-free vehicle without paying for a full wrap. However, vehicles with special paint finishes gone through bespoke options via Ferrari’s Atelier, Lamborghini’s Ad Personam, and even matte finishes, we recommend a full body wrap to prevent the need for costly paint refinishes through the factory and diminish the value of the vehicle later when selling.
Paint protection film is a physical barrier against damage from impacts, rock chips, swirls, etc. while ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your paint to protect against environmental damage from caustic rain, water etching, bird droppings, etc. while providing a deep gloss and hydrophobic surface for ease of cleaning.
Think of it as a screen protector for your phone, but better. Paint protection film is a nearly invisible, self-healing film that’s applied over your car’s paint and other exterior surfaces. It is specifically designed to protect your vehicle from rock chips, scratches, road debris, and other damage. It’s made from a durable urethane or Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) Film that absorbs impacts and even heals minor scratches and swirls with heat.
XPEL paint protection film can self-heal minor scratches and swirls through its advanced elastomeric polymer technology. However, deeper scratches that penetrate the film may not fully heal and could require repair or replacement to restore optimal protection and appearance.
XPEL Ultimate Fusion combines the protective qualities of Ultimate Plus with a hydrophobic topcoat, making it easier to clean and maintain. Ultimate Plus offers exceptional protection against scratches, chips, and stains but lacks the additional hydrophobic properties.
The cost varies from the type of film being installed, the size of the vehicle, and complexity of installation. We do not believe in a "good enough" finish leaving a mediocre product and go through extensive processes to ensure you and your vehicle receive the best possible treatment.
Yes and no. For complex body parts like the rear hips on a Lamborghini Huracan STO or the front bumper of a Dodge Challenger, we perform custom bulk installs ensuring complete edge-to-edge protection without having nasty seams or imperfections. For the "pre-cuts" we use, we customize our own plots to ensure complete coverage for full protection.
All XPEL Ultimate Plus, Stealth, & Black receive a 10-year warranty that covers defects from the manufacturer including, but not limited to, yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering, & delaminating.
Ceramic Coating
With every vehicle we apply ceramic coating, paint protection film, window tint, or windshield protection film to, we provide an Aftercare & Maintenance Guide for how to take care of your vehicle tips, instruction, recommended products, and warranty information included.
Each ceramic coating package and add-on comes with its’ own warranty via the manufacturer. Each package states the warranty length of the warranty. For more information about each ceramic coating’s warranty, please view our Warranty & Product Information page.
The timeline depends on which coating package and other add-ons you choose, such as paint protection film, window tint, etc. For most vehicles receiving only our Platinum coating package, it will take about 5 business days to complete our coating application. Each coating application receives a decontamination detail, paint correction, final detail, ceramic application, ceramic curing, and a final inspection for truly world-class coating application.
While they are similar, they differ in longevity, durability, and performance. Wax lasts around 1-3 months with moderate vehicle use and only provides a short-term shine. Ceramic coating is a permanent bond that lasts with higher gloss, added protection against UV fade, oxidation, water etching, etc., and hydrophobicity.
Just like if you don’t take care of your vehicle with maintenance, it won’t last as long as you would like. Depending on the product and maintenance done on the coating. Each of our packages comes with a warranty with them, ranging from 5 years up to a lifetime transferable warranty.
No, no matter what detailing guru tells you. Ceramic coating was designed to be for surface protection, not impact protection. The scratches that ceramic coatings actually prevent are from poor washing habits, not from daily use. It helps prevent damage from the environment, oxidation, chemical damage, etc. but it will not stop damage from impacts like paint protection film (PPF) does. To prevent your vehicle from damage via stone chips, scratches, swirls, etc. is to install paint protection film. For complete protection, we advise installing paint protection film and then apply ceramic coating on top of the PPF.
One layer of ceramic coating is perfect in many applications but may not be perfect for you. Think of it like painting a wall in your home with the ceramic coating being the paint and wall being your vehicle. When you paint the wall with the first coat, the wall is covered and gives you the color you’re going for. That is like a single layer coating bonding to the paint and providing protection. Each coat you add does not change necessarily change the color but builds depth and durability to the paint, making the finish smoother and more even. In short, adding more layers doesn’t increase the performance of the ceramic coating but it does add to the durability, longevity, and gloss of the coating.
The closest similarity of what ceramic coating does is wax, but permanent. Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer primarily consisting of Silicon Dioxide and Titanium Dioxide. These polymers form a permanent bond with your vehicle’s clear coat, and other surfaces, at a molecular level to make the surface extremely slick and resistant to contaminants, oxidation, UV fading, and water spots. A bonus of these properties allows for a faster and effortless wash to help make your vehicle look showroom ready for years.
A ceramic coating is essentially a second layer of clear coat that acts as a second layer of "skin" on the surface of your car. The coating utilizes nanotechnology to form a very thin, transparent layer that is completely invisible to the naked eye.
Yes, CeramicPro does require a yearly maintenance in order for your warranty to be valid. This involves a yearly inspection of the coating and an application of a feeder ceramic coating. The ceramic coating feeder refreshes the hydrophobic & UV protective properties.
No, automatic car washes are NOT safe after your vehicle has been coated as the rapid spinning agitators cut through the coating, damaging your vehicle and voiding your warranty.
Shampoos & cleaners with that are pH neutral work the best for cleaning & longevity of your coating. Alkaline or acidic cleaners can slowly remove the coating decreasing the life of the coating. After every service, we provide an aftercare guide with products we recommend and best practices to maintain optimal product performance.
Each of our CeramicPro coating packages have different warranty durations. Silver Package (5-Year Warranty), Platinum Package (5-Year Warranty), Gold Package (Lifetime Warranty), Diamond Package (Lifetime Warranty).
Window Tint
The darkest legal tint varies by location as different states and countries have specific regulations for Visible Light Transmission (VLT) percentages. It's important to check local laws to ensure compliance with tinting limits.
XPEL automotive window films come with a lifetime warranty, covering issues like peeling, cracking, fading, and discoloration. This ensures that your investment in window film is protected for the long term.
VLT, or Visible Light Transmission, refers to the percentage of visible light that passes through the window film. A lower VLT percentage means less light enters the vehicle, resulting in a darker tint. 5% window tint is darker than 35%.
We offer the best window tint in the industry with Carbon & Ceramic tint from XPEL. The available percentages within XPEL's line of window tint are: 5%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 35% 45%, 55%, and 70%
Windshield protection film
XPEL Windshield Protection Film comes with a 1-year/12,000 mile warranty that covers manufacturer defects including peeling, cracking, yellowing, bubbling, hazing, & delamination. However, rock chips are not covered as the film is designed to act as a sacrificial layer to absorb damage before it reaches the windshield.
While the film is not warranted against rock chips, it seres as a protective layer to minimize the impact of road debris, such as rocks. it may shows signs of wear, but this helps prevent damage from reaching your actual windshield.
Like all Windshield Protection Films on the market, it can scratch. We recommend installing new wipers once you have your film installed. This will enhance durability and help protect against surface scratches.
No, using an ice scraper or snow brush can scratch the film and void your warranty. We recommend using a de-icing spray instead.
